International education is at a crossroads, and leaders of all kinds are stepping up to shape what comes next. Navigating a post-pandemic world, responding to crises across the spectrum, grappling with rapidly changing technology, and traversing boldly into an uncertain future are just a few of the reasons we look to leaders in international education today. At the same time, we recognize that leadership today and in the future will and should look different than it did before.
The Fall 2023 issue of the IIENetworker magazine, Leadership: Guiding a New Era of International Education, seeks to highlight, interrogate, and celebrate the many ways that leaders and leadership play a role in advancing international education.
