Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Returns Policy

IIE publications sales are final, and the items are not eligible for return after they have been received by the customer. Books purchased from IIE may be returned only in the following specific circumstances:

  1. The customer has accidentally ordered the wrong issue of a title (e.g., selected Open Doors 2020 instead of Open Doors 2021). This is typically applicable to titles that have multiple issues such as the Open Doors Report on International Education Exchange or the IIENetworker magazine.
  2. The customer received incorrect items in their shipment that are not reflected in their order. This would be an error on fulfillment of the order.

 The customer is responsible for: 

  1. Notifying the IIE Books customer service team using the contact us form.
  2. Providing documentation if they received the incorrect items.
  3. Paying the shipment costs of returning the item to IIE Publications, 1350 I St NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC, 20005

 IIE is responsible for: 

  1. Confirming that the customer’s return request meets the above criteria and approving a return.
  2. Providing the customer guidance on how to return any materials.
  3. Returning payment if required in the specific customer case to the customer’s original payment method.
